Yes, our dealers require you to be home when your Leenders stove is delivered, as delivery is almost always accompanied by installation. Here’s why:

Inspection Upon Delivery

First off, your installer will definitely appreciate a good cup of coffee! Being present allows you to inspect the stove immediately for any visible damage or defects. If there are issues, such as transport damage, you can address them on the spot.

Access and Safety

The installer may need access to your home to set up the stove or place it in the desired location. If you’re not home, this could delay or complicate the installation—mainly because the installer wouldn’t be able to enter.

Instructions and Questions

If you have questions about the stove or specific instructions for delivery or installation, being there in person ensures clear communication and avoids any misunderstandings.

If you are absolutely unable to be home at the time of delivery, we recommend contacting the carrier or shipping company in advance to make alternative arrangements. This could include scheduling a different delivery date or designating a trusted neighbor or family member to receive the delivery on your behalf.
